DME has faults for start system time out, start system pinion starter time out. EME has fault for starter unit auxiliary battery aged. WORK NEEDED replace starter and auxiliary starting battery…customer authorized replacement of starter and auxiliary battery…after repairs, cleared faults and road tested vehicle…no further "drivetrain malfunction" lights coming on at this time. (starter was sold to customer at our cost, warranty issues with starter will be handled through an authorized BMW dealership, recommend to customer to come to ALPINE first to confirm starter warranty)
